Thriving Food Drive: 4th Annual Results

Caliber’s annual Rhythm Restoration Food Drive is in its fourth year, and is the largest of its kind in the collision industry. We wanted to make a serious dent in childhood hunger this summer, and after providing 1 million meals last year, we wanted to raise the bar even higher, with a goal of 1.25 million meals for children in need. However, our lofty goal was no match for our incredible partners, associates and amazing customers in our over 300 centers nationwide. Because of your generosity, we were able to donate a record-breaking 2.3 million meals in food and cash.

This year’s contributions from Caliber teammates, customers and other business partners, along with a $50,000 matching corporate donation, resulted in nearly $300,000 in cash donations and close to 40,000 pounds of food to benefit 28 local food banks across the country.

RR_food-drive-_logo“Caliber Collision’s Rhythm Restoration Food Drive is a wonderful opportunity for all of our teammates and business partners to get involved in our local communities as we go above and beyond to help kids in need,” said Steve Grimshaw, Caliber Collision CEO. “Our highest purpose is to restore our customers to the rhythm of their lives. Both the customers who walk through our doors and the greater communities that we serve around each of our centers.”

Each summer, kids who depend on school lunches for regular meals now turn to local food banks for assistance. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), 15.8 million children under 18 in the United States live in households where they are unable to consistently access enough nutritious food necessary for a healthy life. This means local food banks need extra help to ensure that those in need don’t go hungry. So, each year we turn to our partners, associates and wonderful customers to ask for help to better our communities. And, just like the past three years, their charitable hearts exceeded our expectations. This generosity provided a contribution that spanned 12 states, which is such an incredible achievement.

We’re so thankful for everyone who made this amazing feat possible. Together, we can impact our communities in such wonderful, positive ways, and thanks to the kindness of countless people, we were able to make an incredible difference. Thank you again to everyone who donated and joined us in restoring the rhythm of so many young lives.
