It’s Full Speed Ahead for the Rhythm Restoration Food Drive

After months of preparation, Caliber Collision hosted its annual Rhythm Restoration Food Drive June 6-24 – and it did nothing short of firing on all cylinders. Together, we collected 3.1 million meals for donation to 37 different food banks across the U.S., beating our personal best for the 5th year.

As America’s largest collision repair company, we’re big on giving back to our communities. That’s why we created the Rhythm Restoration Food Drive: a three-week effort designed to rally customers, local business partners, and the general public to donate to at-risk children who don’t receive subsidized meals during the summer months.

According to Feeding America, 1 in 5 children in the U.S. have to worry about when their next meal will come, and it’s time we kicked the fundraising into high gear. Studies show that proper nutrition is critical to not only a child’s physical growth, but also their emotional and learning development. Unfortunately, the problem is worse during the summer months because children don’t have access to subsidized school lunch programs. But thanks to 9,000 of our most giving teammates, we have successfully put a dent in those numbers.

We set up collection bins at each of our 420 locations nationwide. To further boost numbers, Caliber associates challenged each other and engaged their local communities through a variety of fundraising events such as car shows, auctions, motorcycle rallies, dunk tanks, head shaving and even pie throwing. How sweet of them!

“Giving back to our local communities is an integral part of Caliber’s core values,” said Steve Grimshaw, Caliber Collision Chief Executive Officer. “I am proud of our 9,000 teammates who worked tirelessly over the three week drive to raise a record breaking amount of meals for kids in need. We thank our business and community partners who have joined with us to restore the rhythm of life for children across the 16 states that Caliber serves.”

Thank you to all who participated: we could not have done it without you. It’s with this kind of drive and commitment to our communities that makes Caliber so proud to restore the rhythm of your life.
