Recycled Rides Keys to Progress

This past Veterans Day, Caliber had the opportunity to partner with Progressive to help five of our nation’s heroes. Like Caliber, Progressive also understands the challenges facing American Veterans when they return from serving our country. In fact, four out of ten veterans live in rural areas, and have a difficult time getting to and from employment opportunities, medical facilities and support programs. This is where Caliber’s Recycled Rides and the Keys To Progress program comes in.

One of these heroes is Shellie, who served in the Army and Military Police in the 1980s. She is currently living in Colorado Springs along with her daughter and granddaughter, and she has recently worked her way to a degree. Shellie is currently looking for employment as a medical assistant. This restored vehicle will give Shellie the reliable mode of transportation she needs to attend interviews and get to and from work each day.

All of the work was performed by Caliber team members who volunteered their time to make the vehicle new again. It’s something all of us here at Caliber are proud to be a part of, and something our fantastic teams love to do. The team at our Northglenn center found this Recycled Ride even more special because they were able to help a national hero on Veterans Day.
